Shohei Ohtani leads trader consensus at 47% implied probability for 2026 NL MVP, fueled by his historic 2024 two-way dominance—54 homers, 59 steals—and Dodgers' World Series championship, positioning him as the league's premier talent entering his age-32 prime with full pitching return expected. Juan Soto's blockbuster 15-year, $765 million Mets signing on December 9 vaulted him to 15.5%, creating a superstar duo with Francisco Lindor (6.4%) in a revamped NL East powerhouse. Ronald Acuña Jr. (13%) eyes rebound from his May ACL tear, while Fernando Tatis Jr. (10.5%) and Mookie Betts (7.2%) anchor contenders; Kyle Tucker's 5.5% reflects Astros trade buzz to NL suitors. Spring training metrics and early 2025 health will sharpen these odds amid injury risks and hot streaks.
