Traders view the New York Yankees as the clear AL East frontrunner for 2026 at 44.5% implied probability, bolstered by their December signing of ace Max Fried to a six-year, $218 million deal that fortifies the rotation alongside Gerrit Cole despite Juan Soto's departure to the Mets, while their deep farm system featuring prospects like Jasson Domínguez and Spencer Jones supports sustained contention. Toronto Blue Jays hold second at 27% on a stable young core of Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette amid modest offseason activity, positioning them for a rebound. Boston Red Sox (23.5%) gained traction via trades for Garrett Crochet and Walker Buehler's signing, enhancing pitching depth for a resurgent rotation. Tampa Bay Rays (19.9%) and Baltimore Orioles (19.5%) trail closely, relying on pitching development and elite prospects like Gunnar Henderson, respectively, though payroll constraints and rotation questions temper expectations in a competitive division.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the team whose listed nickname comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named the 2026 American League East division champion per the rules of the MLB (e.g., they are eliminated in the playoffs), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”.
If the 2026 MLB regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from Major League Baseball (https://www.mlb.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
