Incumbent Rep. April McClain-Delaney's bid for re-election in Maryland's 6th Congressional District anchors trader consensus at 88% for a Democratic Party win, driven by the seat's Solid Democratic rating from Cook Political Report and consistent large-margin victories—over 40 points in 2024—rooted in Montgomery County's strong Democratic lean. Recent candidate filings confirm a crowded June 23 Democratic primary featuring eight contenders, including challenger David Trone's $5 million self-loan and paid influencer campaigns on criminal justice issues, alongside three Republicans led by Marine veteran Chris Burnett. Absent district-specific polling, odds reflect historical base rates for safe blue seats amid midterm dynamics, with national waves or scandals as potential but low-probability disruptors before November 3.
