The race for most assists at the FIFA World Cup remains wide open, with implied probabilities clustered tightly among creative midfielders and attacking wingers from multiple national teams. Federico Valverde, Hannibal Mejbri, Ismaïla Sarr, Dejan Kulusevski, and Andy Robertson sit at the front in a narrow band, reflecting comparable expected involvement in chance creation through progressive passing, overlapping runs, and set-piece delivery. Squad rotations, varying team styles in possession-dominant or counter-attacking systems, and the depth of supporting attackers keep individual tallies unpredictable. Lower-priced options such as Lamine Yamal, Kevin De Bruyne, and Bruno Fernandes carry realistic paths to surge if their sides advance deep or feature them in high-usage roles, underscoring how form, matchups, and tournament progression can quickly shift the leaderboard.
