Mercedes holds a commanding 98-67 points lead in the Constructors' Championship after strong 1-2 finishes at the Australian and Chinese Grands Prix, with George Russell (51 points) and rookie Kimi Antonelli (47 points) dominating under the radical 2026 regulations favoring their power unit and chassis efficiency. Ferrari trails in second via consistent podiums from Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, positioning them as the primary challenger at trader consensus of 13.5% implied probability. McLaren's dismal results, including a non-start in China, have dropped them to 4.3%, while Red Bull languishes fourth amid pace deficits. Ferrari and Red Bull introduce major upgrades at the Japanese GP to close the gap, but Mercedes' early momentum reflects crowd wisdom on their championship path.
