California's 41st Congressional District top-two primary on June 2 features incumbent Rep. Linda Sánchez (D), who shifted here after Proposition 50 redistricting redrew boundaries to favor Democrats in southeast Los Angeles County, against challengers Hector De La Torre (D), Shonique Williams (D), and Mitch Clemmons (R). The filing deadline passed March 6 with several Democratic hopefuls withdrawing, leaving intra-party competition to determine the top two general election advancers in this Solid Democratic-rated seat per Cook Political Report and others. No major developments have emerged in the past 30 days, keeping focus on voter turnout amid the May 18 registration deadline; low Republican viability historically limits Clemmons' path absent surge.
