Valentin Vacherot enters the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters first round with strong momentum from a Miami last-16 run, defeating Matteo Berrettini before falling to Arthur Fils, boosting him to a career-high ATP No. 23 ranking. The Monégasque local benefits from home-crowd energy at Monte Carlo Country Club on clay, where he seeks to build on limited recent Masters 1000 success, facing Polish qualifier Kamil Majchrzak (No. 53) for their first head-to-head meeting. Majchrzak showed clay grit with a Marrakech first-round win over Juan Manuel Cerundolo but exited early to Marco Trungelliti; no injuries reported, though outdoor conditions could amplify Vacherot's baseline power against Majchrzak's grinder style. A Vacherot win sets up a potential clash with Lorenzo Musetti.
