In the Yokkaichi Challenger final on indoor hard courts, seventh seed Rio Noguchi (ATP 245) faces unseeded veteran Yasutaka Uchiyama (ATP 308), renewing their evenly split 1-1 head-to-head, with Uchiyama's three-set quarterfinal win in last September's Shanghai Challenger. Noguchi advanced convincingly, dropping two sets across 7 hours 34 minutes on court, including a semifinal comeback over Harry Wendelken (6-4, 2-6, 6-4) after straight-set wins over Liam Broady and Tung-Lin Wu. Uchiyama mirrored the workload (7 hours 15 minutes, two sets lost), stunning third seed Dan Added (6-2, 6-2) en route to a gritty semifinal defeat of Hayato Matsuoka (6-4, 5-7, 6-4). Both boast strong 2026 hard-court form—Noguchi 14-4 with a Nonthaburi title, Uchiyama 11-3—setting up a competitive matchup where experience meets momentum absent injury concerns.
