In the Grand Prix Hassan II quarterfinals on Marrakech's clay courts, 29-year-old Frenchman Alexandre Muller (ATP 94) faces 19-year-old Spaniard Rafael Jodar (ATP 89) in their first head-to-head matchup. Muller, a 2023 finalist here, advanced with straight-sets wins over qualifier Francesco Cina and No. 8 seed Vit Kopriva (6-3, 7-6(3)), leveraging his clay-court experience amid a 44% win rate in 2026. Jodar, in his debut ATP clay event, notched his maiden tour-level quarterfinal by upsetting qualifier Dusan Lajovic then No. 4 seed Tomas Machac (6-4, 6-4), channeling strong baseline play reminiscent of Spanish clay specialists. With rankings close and no prior meetings, traders weigh Muller's tournament pedigree against Jodar's momentum from recent upsets, though clay conditions and youth could fuel an underdog push.
