In the Bucharest Open qualifying final on outdoor clay, Alex Molcan leads Jay Clarke 4-1 in the first set, with the match suspended due to rain and set for later resumption. Molcan's efficient serving (71% points won, one break converted) and fewer unforced errors contrast Clarke's struggles (9 errors, 50% service points), shaping trader consensus toward the Slovak left-hander despite Clarke's prior 1-0 head-to-head edge. Both advanced convincingly from Q1 (Molcan def. B. Harris 6-1 7-6; Clarke def. G. Ghetu 6-4 6-3), with closely matched rankings (#189 vs. #185) and mixed recent Challenger form on clay highlighting a competitive matchup vulnerable to weather delays or momentum shifts.
