In the San Luis Potosi Challenger semifinal on clay courts, higher-ranked Tristan Schoolkate (#119) meets Nicolas Mejia (#171), with Schoolkate holding a 1-0 head-to-head edge from their hard-court clash last summer. Mejia, a Colombian clay specialist, enters with surging form after a dominant 6-0, 6-2 quarterfinal rout of Rodrigo Alujas, building on a Morelia semifinal run last week that showcases his surface adaptation and baseline grinding style. Schoolkate, primarily a hard court player with minimal clay points (2% of total), notched a solid quarterfinal win but faces reach disadvantages and stylistic hurdles against Mejia's topspin-heavy game. Recent Mexican Challenger deep runs by both underline the matchup's competitiveness, with no reported injuries or withdrawals shifting the dynamic.
