Yannick Hanfmann, ranked No. 64, holds a clear edge over No. 91 Jesper de Jong in their first-round ATP 250 Grand Prix Hassan II matchup on outdoor clay in Marrakech, with no prior head-to-head encounters. Hanfmann's strong clay form—highlighted by a Santiago semifinal run in late February where he upset Francisco Cerundolo—bolsters trader consensus, building on his career clay affinity and recent qualifier win over Leandro Riedi in Miami. De Jong arrives off mixed Challenger results, including quarterfinal and round-of-16 advances in Murcia but a third-round loss to Edas Butvilas in Alicante, amid a 5-9 2026 record. Surface history, rest advantages, and potential weather delays remain pivotal for this Round 1 opener on March 30.
