In the Tiriac Open Bucharest ATP 250 quarterfinal on slow outdoor clay, No. 62 Botic van de Zandschulp holds a slight rankings edge over No. 74 Damir Dzumhur ahead of their April 3 matchup, with trader consensus reflecting van de Zandschulp's 1-0 head-to-head lead from a 2021 qualifier. Both advanced via straight-sets second-round wins—Dzumhur ousting Nuno Borges 7-6(1), 6-4, and van de Zandschulp defeating Alexander Shevchenko 7-5, 6-1—building momentum despite rain delays disrupting the schedule on April 2. Dzumhur's clay movement suits the surface, but van de Zandschulp's serve and recent 6-6 YTD form provide upset potential in a closely contested affair vulnerable to weather interruptions or fatigue.
