A recent Alaska Survey Research poll released three days ago shows Democrat Mary Peltola leading incumbent Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan by 5 points in a simulated ranked-choice matchup, boosting trader consensus to imply 60.5% odds for Peltola amid her 49% favorable rating versus Sullivan's lower approval. Peltola's Tuesday rollout of an anti-corruption "Fixing the Rigged System" agenda reinforces her appeal to independent voters in Alaska's nonpartisan jungle primary on August 18, while Sullivan faces scrutiny from backers demanding a probe into her prior campaign spending. National forecasters like Cook Political Report now rate the race as competitive, diverging from earlier leans toward the incumbent, with the general election on November 3 under ranked-choice voting. Minor candidates like Dustin Darden trail far behind due to limited name recognition and fundraising.
