Traders tracking the "AI bubble burst by...?" market are focused on the widening gap between Big Tech’s multi-trillion-dollar infrastructure buildout and still-limited revenue from large language models. Hyperscalers plan roughly $670 billion in AI-related capital spending this year alone, yet leading developers report annualized revenues in the low tens of billions, raising doubts about near-term ROI. Recent stock weakness among chip and cloud leaders, coupled with Federal Reserve commentary linking AI hype to inflationary pressure and higher-for-longer rates, has amplified skepticism. Upcoming catalysts include earnings calls that could reveal further capex guidance and any credible third-party benchmarks showing stalled productivity gains, factors that could accelerate sentiment shifts if monetization fails to scale.
