Trader consensus in the wide-open Valero Texas Open field at TPC San Antonio's demanding Oaks Course slightly edges Ludvig Åberg (5% implied probability) ahead of Tommy Fleetwood (4.5%) and Russell Henley (4.4%), reflecting Åberg's elite ball-striking upon return from THE PLAYERS layoff, Fleetwood's FedExCup-leading consistency and strong irons, and Henley's precision after his recent Arnold Palmer Invitational win. Jordan Spieth (4%) leverages his 2021 course victory and Texas roots, while Collin Morikawa (4%) carries back injury rust from his Players withdrawal. Recent withdrawals like Ryan Gerard and Isaiah Salinda thinned the 132-player field without major odds shifts, as potential Thursday rain and wind favor accurate approaches over power.
