With top seeds Arizona (32-2), Michigan (31-3), and Duke (32-2)—the AP poll's No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 teams—advancing to the Elite Eight after Sweet 16 victories, trader consensus reflects a tightly contested March Madness championship race, bunching implied probabilities near 28%, 24%, and 23%. Arizona's dominant 109-88 rout of Arkansas underscores its offensive firepower, while Duke's gritty 80-75 escape against St. John's highlighted resilience amid a heated finish; Michigan pulled away convincingly from Alabama. Favorable Elite Eight paths—Arizona vs. Purdue, Michigan vs. Tennessee, Duke vs. UConn—alongside Illinois (12%) facing Iowa, keep the field wide open, with no clear path to the Final Four in Indianapolis amid upset potential in knockout stages.
