This market will resolve to "Yes" if the US Senate passes a bill that, if enacted, would provide at least $20 billion in supplemental funding to the Department of Defense or otherwise to the United States military by September 30, 2026 at 11:59PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source will be official U.S. federal government publications (e.g., Congress.gov) however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**With roughly 20 days remaining before the September 30 deadline, the Senate has advanced a continuing resolution funding agencies through December 11 at fiscal 2026 levels while explicitly excluding supplemental appropriations for the Iran conflict.** The measure, which cleared the Senate 90-6 in August and the House 370-48 in early September before presidential signature, bars new defense production starts and sidesteps the administration’s June request for roughly $67 billion in war-related defense funds. Democratic opposition to additional spending tied to the conflict, combined with bipartisan focus on averting a shutdown ahead of midterms, has prevented movement on a standalone supplemental exceeding $20 billion. No floor action or procedural breakthrough on such legislation has occurred in recent weeks.
