Elon Musk’s March 10 announcement that 𝕏 Money early public access would launch in April has been the dominant driver of trader sentiment, shifting focus from long-term speculation to near-term execution risk. The platform has secured money-transmitter licenses in more than 40 U.S. states and maintains a Visa partnership for debit cards, peer-to-peer transfers, bank deposits, and cash-back rewards, positioning the service as a direct competitor to neobanks and fintech wallets. Internal closed-beta testing among employees began earlier in 2026, yet an April 14 Senate Banking Committee letter requesting details on the rollout highlights ongoing regulatory scrutiny that could delay full availability. Traders are now watching for any confirmation of limited external rollout or additional state approvals, as these milestones would determine whether the everything-app vision materializes on the recently targeted timeline or slips further.
