US policy tightening on Chinese military-civil fusion continues to expand the Section 1260H list, with the June 2026 DoD update adding 65 entities—including Alibaba, Baidu, BYD, WuXi AppTec, robotics firms like Unitree, and semiconductor companies—reflecting scrutiny of AI, advanced manufacturing, and dual-use technologies. The prior January 2025 update similarly incorporated Tencent, CATL, and others amid NDAA-driven procurement restrictions that phase in through June 2027. Trader focus centers on AI developers like DeepSeek, consumer electronics makers such as Xiaomi and ByteDance, and related sectors where credible reporting or official designations could signal inclusion before the resolution deadline. Future list updates, congressional actions, or executive policy shifts remain key swing factors in this closely watched regulatory environment.
