This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Trader consensus reflects early-season uncertainty for the Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter Award, with implied probabilities clustered around 5% across a crowded field after roughly 35 games, as no player has separated decisively despite volatile stat lines. Yordan Alvarez leads DHs in OPS (1.080) and runs created, pacing with a .324 average, 13 home runs, and 29 RBI amid Houston's strong start, boosting his case as the purest hitter. Kyle Schwarber's leadoff power (13 HR despite .214 AVG) keeps Philadelphia competitive, while Shohei Ohtani's pedigree as a multi-time winner lags his slow .248/6 HR pace. Brent Rooker struggles (.181 AVG), but Yandy Diaz's .316 contact and Kerry Carpenter's breakout potential add depth; full-season volume, health, and park factors will decide amid projections favoring Ohtani's upside.
