Lula holds a dominant position to finish first in Rio Grande do Norte’s presidential first round on October 4, driven by consistent leads in recent state polls showing him at 47–56% support. As the incumbent PT president seeking re-election, he benefits from longstanding regional strength in the Northeast, where surveys from Exatus, Real Time Big Data, and earlier Atlas polling place him 18–29 points ahead of Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) and well clear of fragmented challengers including Augusto Cury, Ronaldo Caiado, and Romeu Zema. Opposition votes remain split across multiple names with no single rival approaching double digits in most RN samples. Late developments such as turnout shifts, major campaign events, or unforeseen national controversies could narrow margins, though current polling and structural advantages point to a wide first-place margin.
