Lula maintains a commanding lead in Pernambuco first-round voting intentions, with recent September 2026 polls from Datafolha and Real Time Big Data showing him at 55-56% against Flávio Bolsonaro at 24-25% and all other listed candidates in single digits. As a native of the state with deep roots in the Northeast's political base, Lula benefits from consistent regional loyalty ahead of the October election. Trader consensus reflects these patterns and the absence of major shifts in local polling or candidate positioning over the past month. A late surge by opposition figures, unusually low turnout among core supporters, or unexpected national developments altering voter priorities could narrow the gap, though current evidence points to structural advantages for the incumbent in this key electoral college.
