Flávio Bolsonaro maintains a commanding lead in Mato Grosso first-round polling for the October 2026 presidential election, reflecting the state’s conservative agricultural electorate and consistent double-digit advantages over Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in surveys from institutes such as Quaest, Real Time, and Percent Brasil. Recent regional data show the PL senator at 41–47 percent against Lula’s 26–33 percent, with other names like Ronaldo Caiado, Renan Santos, and Augusto Cury trailing far behind. National momentum from Supreme Court disputes has reinforced right-leaning consolidation in the state, where Jair Bolsonaro previously performed strongly. Traders price in limited scope for late shifts given the margin, though variables such as turnout among undecided voters or unexpected developments in the final weeks before the vote could narrow the gap.
