Recent polling for the September 20 Berlin Abgeordnetenhaus election shows a narrow contest among the CDU, Die Linke, AfD, and Greens, each clustered between roughly 17 and 22 percent, with the SPD trailing. This multi-party squeeze, combined with AfD gains from its 9 percent share in the 2023 repeat vote, has produced volatile seat projections that keep the 29–35 seat range as the clearest area of trader consensus. Voter concerns over housing costs, violent crime, and urban infrastructure have sustained AfD support near 18 percent across recent surveys, while no single party appears positioned for a decisive breakthrough. The remaining two weeks before voting, including final turnout patterns in eastern districts and any last-minute campaign developments, could still shift the final distribution within or beyond that band.
