The Agrigento runoff between Michele Sodano of the center-left Campo largo coalition and Gerlando Alonge of the center-right remains closely contested ahead of the June 7-8 vote. First-round results on May 24-25 showed Sodano at 39.1% and Alonge at 34.8%, with the remaining center-right vote split among other candidates preventing an outright winner. This fragmentation consolidated support behind Alonge for the ballot, narrowing the gap and heightening sensitivity to turnout and last-minute mobilization among undecided voters. Trader pricing reflects the balanced dynamics of coalition discipline, local issue salience, and historical runoff patterns in Sicilian municipal contests where small shifts in participation can decide the outcome.
