Punjab Kings hold a slim edge in trader consensus at 23.5% implied probability for the IPL 2026 title, buoyed by their points table lead with 13 points from recent wins, including a strong showing against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 49th match on May 5. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (23%) carry momentum as 2025 champions, retaining Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Krunal Pandya while adding firepower at the December auction, maintaining their top-two position with 12 points alongside SRH (21.6%). Sunrisers Hyderabad's explosive retained core—Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Heinrich Klaasen—fuels consistent top-four contention amid tight playoff race, with Gujarat Titans (16.3%) competitive but trailing slightly. No major injuries disrupt the bunching, as balanced squads and current form keep the championship path wide open for these frontrunners.
