Incumbent Democratic Rep. Joyce Beatty secured her party's nomination in the May 2026 primary with roughly 79% of the vote and now faces Republican Cleophus Dulaney in the November 3 general election for Ohio's 3rd Congressional District. The seat, anchored in urban Franklin County including much of Columbus, carries a strong Democratic lean reflected in its Cook Partisan Voting Index and Beatty's prior victories exceeding 70%. Recent mid-decade redistricting left the district's partisan balance largely intact. Trader consensus at 93.5% for Democrats aligns with these structural factors, historical turnout patterns in similar districts, and the absence of competitive challengers or major developments that would alter the outlook. Late-breaking national shifts or candidate-specific events remain the primary variables that could still influence the outcome before Election Day.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
