In February 2026 the security cabinet approved expanded land registration powers for the Justice Ministry in Area C, new settlement approvals, and administrative shifts transferring oversight from military to civilian bodies—moves widely viewed as accelerating de facto integration of territory. These steps build on 2025 Knesset resolutions and settlement surges while facing U.S. opposition to any explicit sovereignty declaration. Upcoming cabinet or Knesset sessions on land policy, combined with settlement expansion timelines, remain key variables that could trigger or defer formal annexation before any near-term market resolution date.
