The Odyssey leads the early 2027 Best Adapted Screenplay market at 28% implied probability on the strength of Christopher Nolan’s summer release, which has delivered massive box office results and widespread critical acclaim following his Oppenheimer triumph. Close behind sit The Invite at 24% and The Black Ball at 17.5%, reflecting solid precursor positioning and campaign momentum for those adaptations. Project Hail Mary, Dune: Part Three, and several others trail in single digits, buoyed by strong reviews, high-profile talent, and source-material prestige but facing tighter competition. With no guild or major critics’ awards yet decided, traders are weighing epic scale and audience reach against innovative storytelling and late-year festival potential in a still-fluid race.
