The Cardinals enter this NL Central series with a stronger 28-19 record than the Reds' 26-24 mark, fueled by more reliable starting pitching and a deeper bullpen. Kyle Leahy takes the mound for St. Louis with a 5-3 record and 3.94 ERA, while Cincinnati counters with Chris Paddack, who remains winless at 0-5 with a 7.07 ERA. Several Cardinals regulars, including Lars Nootbaar and Ramon Urias, sit on the injured list, potentially limiting lineup depth at Great American Ball Park. The Reds' recent 9-4 win over the Phillies offers momentum, but ongoing bullpen questions and the absence of key arms create matchup vulnerabilities. Traders weigh these injury and pitching factors heavily when assessing implied probabilities for game outcomes in the three-game set.
