This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Early 2026 results have kept the Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter race tightly bunched, with Kyle Schwarber, Shohei Ohtani, and Yordan Alvarez separated by just a few percentage points in trader pricing. Schwarber’s power surge for the Phillies, Alvarez’s .303 average and 18 home runs through 55 games for the Astros, and Ohtani’s continued production as the Dodgers’ primary DH have all fueled strong cases. Additional qualified hitters such as Salvador Perez and Christian Yelich sit further back but remain in the mix through solid on-base and extra-base contributions. The compressed probabilities reflect the early-season volatility typical of positional awards, where small sample fluctuations and injury or usage changes can quickly shift momentum among top designated hitters.
