Both teams enter the June 2026 series at Target Field with sub-.500 records, the Twins at 29-34 and the Royals at 23-38, leaving little separation in the AL Central standings. Minnesota’s pitching has been hampered by Bailey Ober’s elbow inflammation on the 15-day IL, while Kansas City continues without Cole Ragans and Jonathan India for the season. Maikel Garcia’s hamstring strain leaves his availability questionable for the opener. Recent interleague and divisional results show both clubs struggling to string together wins, with bullpen inconsistencies and offensive inconsistency defining their form. The series features multiple games with potential for weather or roster adjustments to influence outcomes.
