Jayden Daniels has thrown just three passing touchdowns through two 2026 games while posting modest volume and efficiency before dislocating his left elbow in Week 2, the same non-throwing arm injured the prior season. He missed the next two contests and returns wearing a brace amid medical concerns about re-injury risk, though cleared to start Week 5 against the Giants with no surgery planned. The Commanders’ offense has operated at low passing attempts per game, and key weapons like Terry McLaurin remain questionable with hamstring issues. Daniels’ 2024 rookie output of 25 touchdowns and limited 2025 production (eight in seven games) provide historical context, yet recurring durability questions and a 1-3 team record shape expectations for his full-season passing total amid a challenging schedule ahead.
