Jaxson Dart, the New York Giants' second-year quarterback, opened the 2026 regular season with strong efficiency, completing 26 of 34 passes for 250 yards and three touchdowns across his first two starts while adding 54 rushing yards. His campaign ended prematurely after suffering a left knee injury in Week 2 against the Rams, involving meniscus, MCL, and PCL damage that required surgery and placed him on injured reserve. With veteran Jameis Winston assuming the starting role, Dart has no further regular-season opportunities. The Giants' offense has shifted toward a more conservative, run-oriented approach under new head coach John Harbaugh and play-caller Matt Nagy, limiting passing volume even before the injury.
