Yujin Kim holds the ranking edge at approximately No. 782 on the WTA list compared with Sera Nishimoto’s position near No. 959, giving the younger South Korean a clear advantage in this ITF W15 Fukui first-round encounter on hard courts. Their only prior meeting, a June 2025 W15 Osaka match on the same surface, ended in a straight-sets win for Kim. Both players arrive after recent activity on hard courts in regional events, with Kim posting victories in higher-level W35 tournaments and Nishimoto securing wins in Japanese lower-tier draws. No notable injuries or withdrawals have been reported for either competitor ahead of the scheduled match.
