**Andy Burnham's recent ascension as prime minister in July 2026, following Keir Starmer's ouster amid Labour's local election setbacks, internal resignations, and falling approval ratings, has shaped trader views on limited further turnover through 2027.** Burnham's emphasis on restoring stability after years of rapid leadership shifts, combined with the next general election deadline in 2029, supports the market's strong preference for exactly two prime ministers serving by the end of 2027. Traders see modest room for one additional change—via internal party pressure or an early poll triggered by Reform UK's gains—while viewing four or more as highly unlikely given the new leader's mandate and the absence of immediate constitutional triggers. This reflects crowd-sourced assessment of ongoing economic and populist pressures without assuming guaranteed upheaval.

This market will resolve based on the number of unique individuals to hold the position. For example, if an individual is appointed twice within the specified timeframe, they will only count once for resolution.
To count for resolution, an individual must have been officially appointed by the United Kingdom Monarch. An individual’s time of appointment will have no bearing on this market so long as the individual officially serves as Prime Minister within the specified timeframe. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market
For clarity, Keir Starmer will count as one Prime Minister for the purposes of this market.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of the United Kingdom; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
