Early in the 2027 Grammy cycle, trader sentiment for Song of the Year shows a fragmented field where Olivia Rodrigo’s “the cure” leads at 22.9% implied probability, ahead of her “drop dead” and Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia.” Multiple TBD options sit near 50%, underscoring how far the race remains from resolution. Momentum will hinge on upcoming album releases, Billboard and streaming performance, and critical consensus through fall 2026, as guild and precursor signals have yet to emerge. Historical patterns favor tracks with broad cultural impact and strong year-end chart trajectories, but late releases or surprise critical darlings could quickly shift the odds in this wide-open market.
