**Incumbent Speaker Mike Johnson holds a dominant position in Louisiana’s 4th Congressional District ahead of the November 3 open primary.** The solidly Republican district features Johnson facing two Democratic challengers and two lesser-known Republican opponents after the August filing deadline. Louisiana’s majority-vote system allows a candidate to win the seat outright by securing more than 50 percent in the first round; otherwise the top two advance to a December 12 runoff. Trader consensus at 94.5 percent for an outright winner reflects Johnson’s strong fundraising advantage, broad name recognition as Speaker, and the absence of any competitive intra-party or cross-party threat capable of fragmenting the vote enough to force a runoff. Historical precedent in the district and current race ratings from multiple forecasters reinforce expectations of a first-round majority. No recent developments have altered this outlook.
