**John Cowan secured the Republican nomination for Georgia’s 11th congressional district after winning a June 2026 primary runoff with 65 percent against Rob Adkerson.** The open seat, vacated by retiring incumbent Barry Loudermilk, sits in a district rated Solid or Safe Republican by major forecasters, with a Partisan Voter Index of R+12 and a 2024 Trump margin of roughly 18.5 points. In the November 3 general election, Cowan faces Democrat Chris Harden plus two independents. Historical patterns and the district’s partisan composition support a comfortable Republican victory that clears the 50 percent threshold needed to avoid a December 1 runoff. Trader pricing at 62 percent for an outright first-round winner reflects this structural advantage while incorporating residual uncertainty from minor-party vote splitting and the absence of recent district-specific polling.
