**Incumbent Republican Austin Scott faces Democrat Kelly Esti and Independent Roman Coley Davis in Georgia’s 8th congressional district general election on November 3, 2026.** The solidly Republican district, rated safe or solid Republican by Cook, Inside Elections, Sabato’s Crystal Ball, and Decision Desk HQ, has delivered large GOP margins in recent cycles, including Scott’s 68.9% share in 2024. Scott advanced unopposed in the May Republican primary, while Esti secured the Democratic nomination outright with 53.5% in her May primary. With no competitive primary runoff in the GOP and the district’s established partisan lean and rural southern Georgia voter base, traders assign an 81.3% implied probability to an outright winner (over 50%) on election night, avoiding Georgia’s majority threshold runoff. No late developments have altered the structural outlook.
