Incumbent Republican Rich McCormick secured the GA-07 nomination outright in the May 2026 primary with no runoff required, while Democrat Tony Kozycki prevailed in the June Democratic runoff to become the general election nominee. The district's consistent Republican lean, McCormick's incumbency advantage, and race ratings classifying the seat as solid or safe Republican underpin the 99.6% trader consensus for an outright general election winner on November 3. Georgia's runoff rules require a majority, yet the structural margin and limited Democratic resources make a runoff scenario improbable. Late developments such as a major scandal, candidate health event, or sharp national partisan shift could still alter the outcome before election day.
