Incumbent Lucy McBath faces Republican Kevin Martin in Georgia’s 6th congressional district on November 3, 2026, with a general runoff possible December 1 if no candidate exceeds 50 percent. The district’s D+25 partisan voter index, McBath’s prior 74.7 percent victory, unopposed Democratic primary, and low-profile Republican contest have produced trader consensus that an outright November winner is highly likely. Recent ratings from the Cook Political Report, Sabato’s Crystal Ball, and Decision Desk HQ classify the seat as Safe or Solid Democratic, reflecting entrenched voting patterns and fundraising advantages. A national political shift, late scandal, or turnout surge could narrow margins, yet structural factors make a runoff improbable absent major unforeseen developments.
