Romania hosts Wales in a June 6 international friendly at Bucharest’s Steaua Stadium, where both sides are rebuilding after missing 2026 World Cup qualification via playoffs. Romania enters on the back of recent defeats to Turkey and Slovakia, yet benefits from home support and familiarity under its current setup. Wales, led by Craig Bellamy, carries momentum from strong Nations League promotion but processes playoff heartbreak against Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the coach confirmed to stay on. Similar FIFA rankings, potential squad rotations in a low-stakes friendly, and balanced recent head-to-head trends keep the matchup tightly contested, reflected in the narrow spread among win and draw probabilities.
