Recent polling in Tocantins shows Flavio Bolsonaro and Lula in a technical tie for first place in the October 4 first-round vote, with the pair separated by just a few points inside margins of error across multiple surveys released in mid-September. This equilibrium reflects balanced support in the state between the leading PT and PL candidates, limited traction for secondary contenders such as Augusto Cury or Ronaldo Caiado, and the absence of decisive late-campaign shifts in voter preferences or turnout patterns. Trader consensus around even odds for the frontrunners captures these local dynamics, where small changes in undecided voters, regional mobilization, or national campaign events over the next three weeks could alter the narrow gap before ballots close.
