Lula maintains a commanding lead in Sergipe first-round voting intentions according to recent state-level polling, reflecting entrenched PT support across the Northeast and the president's sustained approval ratings near 53-60% in the state. Local surveys, including Quaest data from late August, show him at 53% against single-digit or low-20s figures for rivals such as Flávio Bolsonaro. Federal investments announced in Sergipe, including major Petrobras projects, have reinforced perceptions of incumbency advantage ahead of the October first round. Trader consensus at 95.7% for Lula aligns with these patterns, though shifts could occur from late economic data, candidate consolidation among opposition names, or unexpected turnout changes in this closely watched state.
