Flávio Bolsonaro holds a commanding lead in trader expectations for first place in Espírito Santo's first-round presidential voting due to the state's consistent right-wing leanings, including Jair Bolsonaro's past victories there, combined with recent local surveys showing the PL senator tied or narrowly ahead of Lula amid majority disapproval of the incumbent administration. Fragmented support among other candidates such as Augusto Cury, Renan Santos, and Ronaldo Caiado further concentrates preferences toward the main opposition figure. Scenarios that could alter this positioning include shifts among undecided voters, stronger-than-expected turnout for minor candidates, or late developments affecting national momentum in the final weeks before the October 4 ballot.
