Matteo Arnaldi and Raphael Collignon meet in the third round of the 2026 French Open on clay, their first career encounter. Collignon arrives with strong momentum after upsetting fifth seed Ben Shelton 6-4, 7-5, 6-4 in the second round, while the Belgian sits at a career-high ranking near No. 62. Arnaldi advanced by defeating former finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas in four sets following an earlier win over Tallon Griekspoor, though the Italian has battled a lingering right foot injury that limited his early-2026 results and dropped him outside the top 100. Both players show improving form on the slow surface, with Collignon favored by recent results and ranking edge in this round-of-32 matchup.
