The AFCON 2027 winner market remains tightly bunched because qualification has only just begun across multiple groups, leaving most of the 24-team field with realistic paths to the finals hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Recent coaching transitions, including Morocco’s Mohamed Ouahbi facing squad unrest and Ghana retaining Carlos Queiroz, combine with Nigeria’s post-World Cup reset and Senegal’s opening qualifier adjustment to create parity among established sides. Strong recent World Cup performers such as Morocco, Senegal, Ivory Coast and DR Congo sit alongside traditional powers like Cameroon, Ghana and Egypt, while hosts benefit from automatic qualification. With group-stage fixtures still unfolding and no dominant form or injury narrative separating contenders, trader consensus reflects broad uncertainty over which national teams will peak in mid-2027.
