Ongoing U.S. military strikes and involvement in Iran have sustained negative pressure on approval trends, with recent polls showing net ratings at record lows around -20 to -27 and weekly drops of several points amid public opposition to the financial and casualty costs. High-quality surveys from YouGov, Gallup, and others reflect disapproval near 60 percent, fueled by perceptions that the conflict has not justified its burdens. This backdrop of steady decline since mid-July, without offsetting positive developments in the immediate term, shapes trader expectations that approval will continue moving lower in the current week.

If no data point is published for the second reference date by 12:00 PM ET on the third calendar day after that date, the most recent prior day with a published data point will be used instead.
